With the regular season complete, the Bridgeport Indians track & field teams will turn their attention towards Thursday's Class AAA Region II meet, held at Keyser at 2 p.m.

RunWV's power rankings currently have the Tribe girls and boys both seventh, with several individuals and relays among the best in the state so far this year entering the week.

All times are through meets held by May 2 and received by RunWV by May 4.
For the girls, Aria Selario is fourth in the 3200 meter run at 11:26.63, seventh in the 1600 meter run in 5:11.81 and eighth in the 800 meter run at 2:26.05.

Haydn Henderson (16'3.75) sits fifth in the long jump.

Bethsayed Dankiewicz ranks eighth in the 3200 meter run (12:02.48) and ninth in the 1600 meter run (5:32.73), while Mikaela DeMoss (12:10.45) is ninth in the 3200.

The Tribe's relays are highly ranked; the 4x100 (51.25 seconds) is third, the 4x200 (1:50.14) sixth and the shuttle hurdles (1:11.52) ninth.

Isla Tobrey is tied for the eighth-best pole vault at 8-00.

Becky Pepper-Jackson is second in the shot put with a best of 37'9 and third in the discus with a distance of 118'11, while Isabella McCullough is sixth in the shot put at 33'5.

For the boys, Will George is in the hunt in both sprints, with his 10.90 tied for second in the 100 meter dash and his 22.49 fourth-best in the 200 meter dash.

The state meet, four classes for the first time this year, will be held at Laidley Field in Charleston on May 22-23, starting at noon on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Gavin Williams is also on track to be in the finals, sitting eighth in both the 100 meter dash (11.07) and 200 meter dash (22.78).
