Bridgeport High School Indians

Tom Sears is thrilled to serve as Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Bridgeport High School. Stepping into the post on July 17, 2023, he is eager to build on the school's tradition of excellence and help lead the athletic program to even greater heights.

Tom is a natural leader and is passionate about creating opportunities for students to excel both on and off the field. He believes that athletics can play a crucial role in helping students develop important skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance.

Tom works closely with students, coaches, and parents to create a positive and inclusive environment for all student-athletes. He is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and is excited to help the school's athletic program reach new heights.

Tom is a devoted family man and a man of deep faith. He is married to his wife Nacole, and together they have three children, Breanna, Thomas, and Faith. 

Tom has spent his career coaching and mentoring young athletes and has worked to make a significant impact on the lives of countless students.

Before joining the staff at BHS, he spent his career at South Harrison High School, where he coached the Boy's Basketball team for nearly 25 years (14 as head coach), as well as the volleyball team for 7 years and girls' track team for 8 years. He was named Harrison County Coach of the Year twice in basketball and once as the volleyball coach as well as garnering multiple conference awards as well.

In addition to his coaching duties, Tom also served as Athletic Director for a combined 5 years at South Harrison Middle and South Harrison High School. In this role, he worked tirelessly to create a positive environment for all student-athletes. 

Tom is excited to be a part of this moment in Bridgeport Athletics history.
