The Indians junior varsity used big plays and a strong defensive effort in a 42-0 road win at East Fairmont on Monday.
Bridgeport had runs of 75, 70, and 30 yards in the first quarter in building a 26-0 halftime advantage. Rider Pepper Jackson would score first for the Indians on the first offense snap of the game racing 75 yards for the score. Landen Gillum added the two point conversion for an 8-0 lead.
Sam Goodwin would set up the next score after a 70 yard run which Gillum took in on the next play from ten yards out. Newcomer, Donte Pierre would add the two points.
Bridgeport would score next on a safety when the East Fairmont punter was tackled in the end zone following a bad snap by Wes Conley.
Following a free kick, the Indians scored in just three plays as Goodwin accounted for all 50 yards of the drive and Gillum would make it 26-0 at half.
On the opening drive of the second half, Gillum ripped off a 41 yard run to set up Austin Harbert from 15 yards out and Gillum added the extra points.
Goodwin would cap the scoring with 6:23 to play on a 6 yard touchdown run and Gillum scored his 12th point on the night on the two point conversion.
The 8-0 Indians will travel to Wheeling on Saturday to face Linsly at 10am.
