Sawyer Culicerto rushed for 127 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown run, as the Indians junior varsity shut out visiting Robert C. Byrd on Monday night, 42-0. The balanced Indians' rushing attack racked up 292 yards to go along with 63 through the air in the win.

Eli Martin set up the Indians first score with 6:33 left in the first quarter on a 41-yard run, and Carson Bastin took it in from one yard out. The defense got a four-and-out, and Roman Lopez accounted for the entire two-play, 27-yard drive to make it 14-0.

Zach Hickman scored next on a five-yard plunge with 5:56 left in the second. The lead would build to 28 points when Martin found Max Conley on a 63 yard pass and run with 2:27 to play in the first half.

Hickman scored again in the third quarter on a 14-yard run, and Culicerto capped the scoring on his 70-yard wing around. 

Culicerto, and Hickman also each picked off an RCB pass, and Jaylen Brown and Jackson Nicewarner combined to go five for five on point-after kicks.


The Indians (4-0) will host Spring Valley on Monday October 13th at Wayne Jamison Field at 6pm.
