Bridgeport junior tailback Alex Moses scored early and often in the junior varsity's 48-6 road win on Monday night against Morgantown at Pony Lewis Field.
Moses scored on a 69 yard scamper on the game's third play, a part of the talented back's 258 yard and six touchdown performance.
The Indian's defense would get the ball right back as John Knight recovered a Morgantown fumble on the Mohigan's first snap of the game.
Moses would score again at the 6:38 mark in the first quarter from 7 yards out and added the two point conversion for a 16-0 lead.
Owen Gillespie would stop Morgantown next tackling the MHS running back behind the line of scrimmage on a fourth down attempt. That would set up an 11 play drive that Moses would cap from 2 yards out with 9:57 to play in the second quarter.
The defense went back to work on the next series with Bryson Lowther registering a tackle for loss and Juan Pablo Cortez stopping a Morgantown fake punt attempt at midfield. Moses would score again with 0:42 seconds left on a 16 yard run.
Moses' final two touchdowns would come in the third quarter and were set up by a Wes Conley quarterback sack and a strip by John Knight and a recovery by Tim Jeffress.
The Indians JV's moved to 2-0 on the season and will host John Marshall on Monday, September 11th at 6pm.
