The Bridgeport Indians golf team opened its 2026 season with an impressive showing at the West Virginia Army National Guard WVGA Invitational at Glade Springs on Wednesday, finishing fifth out of 29 teams.
 
Bridgeport finished with 235 strokes, trailing only Hurricane (213), Shady Spring (228), Greenbrier East (228) and Graham, Va. (228).
 
Alex Randolph led the way with a 75 to finish ninth individually, while Audrey Kerr posted a 78 to tie for 16th overall and finish as the top girls player.
 
Luke Rohrig, making his high school golfing debut, shot 82 to finish in a tie for 29th and complete the team score.
 
Patrick Aucremanne also played and shot a 96.
