WESTON, W.Va. — Bridgeport delivered an offensive outburst Monday, rolling to a 16-3 victory over Lewis County behind a big day from Owen Sondericker.

Sondericker led the Indians at the plate, driving in four runs on three hits. He delivered a bases-clearing triple in the fifth inning and later added an RBI single in the seventh to cap his performance.

Bridgeport wasted little time getting started, jumping out to a lead in the top of the first inning. Brooks Vass sparked the rally with a two-run single, and another run scored on a fielder's choice to make it 3-0.

The Indians continued to build their advantage in the third inning when Cole Arnett singled down the right field line to push the lead to 4-0.

On the mound, Jaxckson McNally earned the win for Bridgeport, striking out eight over four innings while allowing two runs on five hits. Anthony Julian provided relief work to help secure the victory. Boram took the loss for Lewis County, giving up seven runs, four of them earned, over 3 2/3 innings.

Bridgeport's offense remained steady throughout, finishing with 15 hits. Sondericker and Luke Rohrig each collected three hits, while Cole Courtney added two hits in a perfect day at the plate. The Indians also showed patience, drawing nine walks, with Sondericker, Rohrig, and Talan Thomas each earning two.

Bridgeport will return home Tuesday to host Philip Barbour in its next contest at 5pm on the Bridgeport Sports Radio App.
