Bridgeport landed a league-high four first-team selections to the recently released Big 10 Baseball All-Conference team for 2026, which was voted on by the league coaches.
BHS also landed one of the three top honors.
Robert Shields was named the league's coach of the year after leading the Indians to a 31-5 record and a semifinal appearance in the Class AAA state tournament in Huntington.
Three seniors and one junior were named to the first team. The Indians also had two players named to the second team.
Kasen Baun (infield),
Owen Sondericker (utility), and
Blake Butcher (pitcher) were the seniors named to the team.
Luke Rohrig (outfield) was the junior chosen by coaches for the first team.
On the second team, senior
Guy Avolio (first base) was given the nod by the coaches. Jax McNally (outfield) was selected as a junior.
