The Bridgeport High School boys tennis team captured the 2026 Big 10 Conference Tournament championship with a dominant performance over the two-day event held at Deegan & Hinkle Lakes Park and Robert C. Byrd High School.
Bridgeport advanced to the championship match in six of the tournament's seven positions, showcasing the depth and talent that powered the Indians to the conference crown.
Leading the way for Bridgeport were three championship performances. Jacob Keener claimed a singles title, while Phillip Nguyen earned championships in both singles and doubles. Henry Smith added a doubles championship to complete the Indians' title haul.
Bridgeport also posted several runner-up finishes. Smith finished second in singles, while Adam Jackson, Keener, Isaac Boyce, and Cole Phillips each earned runner-up honors in doubles competition.
The Indians will face Morgantown in the regional tournament on Saturday morning at 9am at the lakes.Â
