The Bridgeport High School track and field teams swept the team titles at the Big 10 Conference meet Wednesday at North Marion High School,

The boys finished with 182 team points and captured first place in six events. The girls finished with 156 points and also took first place in six events.

Half of the boys' wins came in field events as Timmy Jeffress won the long jump at 21-00.75, Wes Brown Jr. won the shot put with a throw of 47-04.5 and Noah Kintz cleared 12-00 to win the pole vault.

Two more victories came in relays as Alex Moses, Will George, Donte Pierre and Jeffress won the 4x100 with a time of 44.05. Sawyer Culicerto, Aiden Gorby, Carter Zuliani and Gabe Martin joined forces to win the shuttles with a time of 1:01.29.

Moses captured the Big 10 title in the 400, crossing the finish line with a first-place time of 51.29.

Giana Cox led the BHS girls with two wins as she took first place in the 200 with a time of 26.03 and the 400 at 59.94.

Myleigh Smell won the Big 10 title in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.61.

Cox was also part of a first-place relay team as she teamed with Violet Vash, LeeAnn Gaskins and
Savannah Courtney to win the 4x100 with a time of 51.80.

Haydn Henderson won the long jump at 16-04.25 and
Lyza Halterman won the discus with a throw of 106-05.

East Fairmont was the runner-up in both the boys and girls team standings.
