Bridgeport had more than enough offense thanks to a hat trick from Riel Figueroa and far too much defense for Robert C. Byrd as the Indians won the Class AAA Region II soccer championship by a 4-0 score and earned a trip to the state tournament.

 The Indians will begin play for a chance at state championship next Thursday in the AAA semifinals at the Paul Cline Memorial Complex in Beckley. 
Bridgeport is the No. 2 seed and will play No. 3 seed Greenbrier East 30 minutes after the 4:30 p.m. is complete. The start, barring extra time in the first game, could be between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
