The Bridgeport boys soccer team scored early in the first overtime to advance to the Class AAA state championship contest scheduled for Saturday by toppling Greenbrier East.
 
BHS won the contest by a 2-1 score. Riel Figueroa scored the game-winning goal for the Tribe to earn the chance to play for the state title.
 
With the victory, the Indians improve to 20-1-2 on the year. 
 
The No. 2-seeded Tribe will play top seed Nitro for the championship Saturday. The contest begins at noon.
