Bridgeport's boys soccer team proved to be too much for Hampshire to handle as the Indians captured a 3-0 win this afternoon in Class AAA Region I soccer action at Wayne Jamison Field.

 The Indians earned a first round bye as the top team in the region. Hampshire advanced to play BHS by knocking off Lewis County on Tuesday.

Bridgeport received goals from three different players.
Grayson Church,
Riel Figueroa, and
Adam Jackson all found the back of the net for the Indians.Â

The Bridgeport defense of
Tucker Pomeroy,
Nate Dodson,
Maddox Pudder, Dom Figueroa and
Jonah Coakley held the Trojans to two shots on goal. Both of those shots were saved by
Andrew Dumas.

BHS recorded its 11th shutout of the season. At the same time, the Indians had 19 shots on goal.
Up next for Bridgeport is a regional final battle with Robert C. Byrd. The game is Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Wayne Jamison Field at 8 p.m.
With the victory the Indians record now stands at 18-1-2
