Class AAA top-ranked Bridgeport remained unbeaten on the year with a convincing 49-7 win against Big 10 foe Preston this evening in Kingwood behind a monster night by
Gavin Williams.

Williams, a junior running back, finished with 285 yards on just six carries, a whopping 47.5 yards per carry. The effort by Williams helped the Indians score the game's final 42 points after a 7-7 tie early. He finished with three rushing touchdown and a kickoff return for a score after PHS knotted the game up.

Bridgeport finished with 481 yards of total offense on just 31 plays. Of that total, 446 yards came on the ground.

The Indians are now 8-0. The Knights fall to 1-6 with the setback.

BHS will look to stay undefeated next Friday. The Indians will play host to Big 10 opponent Grafton at Wayne Jamison Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
