The Bridgeport High School cross country season kicked off Saturday night at Preston High School in the Knight Night Relays.

The BHS boys had four teams compete, all finishing in the Top 40.

The A team came in ninth led by
William Northey's time of 7:37.32. He was followed by
Ethan Smell at 8:17.16,
Parker Muncy at 8:03.42 and
Quentin Collier at 8:13.99.

Bridgeport's B team of
Diego Perez (8:01.40), Kieran Moore (8:41.72),
Daniel Yearego (8:47.56) and
Jackson Holtz (9:13.05) came in 19th place.

Bridgeport's C team of
Cole Phillips (8:45.02),
Graham Northey (9:02.33),
Aiden Shipley (9:43.51) and
Micah Brittain (10:04.64) placed 30th.

Bridgeport's D team of
Fox Means (10:01.38),
Jeremy Lunsford (10:01.11),
Eli Witt (11:39.10) and
Brent Cable (11:26.75) finished 46th.

The BHS Girls team of
Mikaela DeMoss (9:49.50),
Annelise Mace (11:14.35),
Chloe Marsh (12:54.53) and
Victoria Vash (12:27.30) came in 24th place.

University swept the team titles.

The Indians will compete in a meet on Tuesday at University.
