The XC teams had a great weekend in Louisville at the Louisville XC Classic. It was a fast course, but a hot afternoon to race. The girls finished 4th (out of 23 complete teams, 35 total teams) and were beaten by a couple of teams from Missouri and one from Pennsylvania. Aria Salerio took 2nd overall in a school record time of 18:47.
Mikaela DeMoss also scored an 11th place finish, running a 19:43.
Isla Tobrey (20:37) and
Beth Dankiewicz (20:39) just missed top 25 finishes (and individual awards) by a few seconds.
The boys team also finished in a very respectable 12th place (out of 30 complete teams and 45 total teams).
Troy Zorick ran 16:24 to take 13th place out of 230 boys finishers.
William Northey was the next boys finisher in 38th at 17:09. Next up: Big 10 Championships on October 16 at Buckhannon-Upshur High School.
