The Bridgeport Indians opened the 2026 season in impressive fashion Wednesday night, rolling past Philip Barbour 7-0 behind a three-goal performance from Lindsey Callahan.

Callahan was the offensive catalyst for the Indians, finding the back of the net three times while also adding an assist as Bridgeport controlled the match from start to finish.

The season opener also marked the debut of new Bridgeport head coach Keith Dumas. Dumas takes over the Indians program after leading Bridgeport to the school's first-ever boys state championship in 2025.

Bridgeport added goals from Molly Frenzel and Lilly Day, while Taelyn Sims found the back of the net with a header in the 34th minute.

The Indians' balanced attack and strong defensive effort resulted in a convincing 7-0 shutout to begin the new campaign.
