Bridgeport High School placed three players on the Class AAA all-state football team that was voted on by the West Virginia State Sports Writers Association.
 
Seniors Bryson Lowther and John Knight were on the squad along with junior Gavin Williams. Lowther was chosen as an offensive lineman, while Knight earned the nod defensively at linebacker. Williams was named the first team kicker.
 
Lowther, who missed the 2024 season due to injury, made up for it in a big way this year. As an offensive lineman he helped a running attack that produced 414.5 yards per game and an average of 10.7 yards per carry. He was equally impressive on defense where he finished with 69 tackles, including 21 for loss, and led the team with eight sacks.
 
Knight was all over the field as a linebacker. He finished his final year with the Tribe leading the squad in tackles. He totaled 90 in 12 games with 7.5 tackles for loss.
 
For Williams, he was named as kicker, which was something he was solid at all season. He connected on 62-of-65 point-after tries for Bridgeport and hit on nearly 60 percent of his kickoffs going for touchbacks (47-of-79). Williams, however, got noticed for his rushing as he finished the year with 1,977 yards rushing on 127 carries (15.6 yards per rush) and scored 27 touchdowns.
 
Bridgeport had one member listed on the second team. Senior lineman Noah West, a multi-year starter, was chosen along the offensive line and played a key role in helping the Indians score 52.6 points per game.
 
Wes Conley and Gabe Martin were also recognized. Both were given honorable mention status. Conley was a senior lineman, while Martin, a junior, was a running back and linebacker who only played in the first seven games due to injury.
