Bridgeport found itself victorious in the second round of the Class AAA Region I soccer tournament by blanking Elkins 2-0 this morning at Wayne Jamison Field.

Lindsey Callahan scored both goals in the win where the Tribe's defensive unit excelled. The Indians defense of

Carley Lattea,
Eliza Perine, Alli Wilson, and
Gianna Dumas held the Tigers to one shot on goal saved by Macie Dotson.
The Indians had 14 shots on goal. With the victory the Indians record now stands at 10-8-2
The Indians are the top seed in the tournament. The Tribe matchup with Elkins came after the Tibers beat Hampshire in the opening round this past Tuesday.
BHS will be back in action Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. in the regional final against Robert C. Byrd. The contest will be played at Wayne Jamison Field.Â
