Mission accomplished.
 
The Bridgeport High School volleyball team has been focused on one thing this season.
 
On Thursday at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, it came to fruition as the Indians defeated Herbert Hoover to capture the Class AAA state championship.
 
BHS won the first game, 25-23. Hoover took Game 2, 25-17. The Indians bounced back with a 25-20 win in Game 3 and secured the title with a 25-23 win in Game 4.
 
It's the second volleyball state title in school history, the previous one coming in Class AA in 2018.
