Natalie Hathaway was hired as the Bridgeport head varsity cheerleading coach in the spring of 2017. In those 7 years, she has led the Indians’ cheer team to 6 Big Ten Championship titles, 3 Regional Championship Titles, 5 State Tournament births, and 2 State Championship titles in 2019 and 2021.

She began her coaching career at Robert C. Byrd high school as a volunteer for the cheer program in both 2009 and 2010. Starting in 2014, Hathaway was the head coach at Bridgeport Middle School for three seasons prior to being hired at BHS.

Natalie is a graduate of Fairmont State University where she has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and a Master’s Degree in Professional Studies. She is now a mathematics teacher at Bridgeport High where she started working in the fall of 2013.
