The Indians' four-run rally in the bottom of the sixth inning tied the score, but Frankfort had an answer in the 7th to win 6-5 in the opening game of the super regional series. A double by
Carson Currey, a single by
Jack Gould, and
Jacob Stavrakis hit his second home run of the season to erase a four-run Falcon lead. However, at the top of the next frame, Frankfort got a double and scored another run on an error in the outfield. Bridgeport did get a run back in the bottom of 7 and had the winning run in scoring position, but struck out to end the game.
Stavrakis, took the loss, pitching six and two thirds, allowing six runs on ten hits and walking four.Â
The Indians must win on Friday morning in Short Gap to keep the season alive.Â
