Wayne Jamison Field

Located on Johnson Avenue, in the heart of the Bridgeport High School campus, Wayne Jamison Field is the home of Indians football, soccer, and track.

Opened in 1950 with a seating capacity of just over 5000, the stadium was renamed after late B.H.S. football coach Wayne Jamison.

Jamison led the Indians to 230 wins and four state championships during his 27 seasons at the helm. Jamison passed away in 2018 at the age of 87.

The Field Turf playing surface was replaced in the summer of 2016; the stadium's track was also recently resurfaced. The entire lighting system was also replaced and in the summer of 2021 a new press box was built including a V.I.P. suite viewing area. Also the Indians weight room was enlarged and renovated with all new equipment giving the Indians one of the best facilities in the state.

A large Nevco video scoreboard is stationed in the south end zone that allows for supporters of the program to advertise and show videos supporting school spirit.
